Terms of use
Effective October 24, 2026
The short version: Use CopyPaist for honest writing. What it writes for you is yours, and so is the job of checking it before you use it. Free credits refresh daily; passes are one-time payments that never renew. Credits have no cash value. The service is provided as it is, and Vermont law applies.
1. These terms
CopyPaist is a SaaSsee app, operated by SaaSsee LLC, a Vermont limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using copypaist.com you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use CopyPaist.
2. Who can use CopyPaist
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. One free account per person, please.
3. Your account
Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us at support@copypaist.com.
4. Credits
- Guests, free accounts and pass holders receive a daily allowance of credits. Unused credits don't carry over to the next day.
- Credits have no cash value and can't be sold, transferred or exchanged for money.
- Credits are charged only when writing finishes. If a request fails, is refused or is stopped, its credits are returned.
- We may change free allowances, costs and limits. Changes never shorten a pass you've already bought or lower its daily allowance while it runs.
5. Passes
- A pass is a one-time payment for a larger daily credit allowance and more saved projects, for the number of days shown at checkout. It starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. It doesn't renew, so there's nothing to cancel.
- Buying a pass while one is running adds the new days to the end of it.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and include any fees we charge; your bank may add its own.
- When a pass ends, your account goes back to the free plan. Your saved projects stay, but you can't add more until you're under the free limit.
- Refunds: if a pass isn't working for you, email support@copypaist.com within 14 days of buying it and we'll refund it in full. A refunded pass ends when the refund is made. This doesn't affect any rights you have under the law where you live.
- If CopyPaist is unavailable for a significant part of your pass, or we stop offering CopyPaist while it runs, we'll refund the unused part.
6. Your content
As between you and us, you own what you put into CopyPaist and what it writes for you. You give us permission to store, process and send your content to our AI provider only as needed to run CopyPaist for you, as described in the privacy policy. Make sure you have the right to use any material you paste in.
7. AI-written content
- CopyPaist uses AI, which can be wrong. Writing may contain mistakes or outdated information, or resemble text written for someone else.
- Review everything before you use it. You're responsible for checking facts, filling in placeholders, and how and where you publish or send the result.
- CopyPaist doesn't give legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Have a qualified professional review anything in those areas.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use CopyPaist to:
- write phishing, scam or fraud messages, or impersonate a real person or organization to deceive anyone;
- create fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements presented as genuine;
- harass, threaten or defame real people, or promote violence or hatred;
- produce anything that sexualizes minors, or any other illegal content;
- spread malware, spam or misinformation presented as fact;
- get around credit limits or other safeguards, share or resell a pass, overload the service, or access it with bots or scrapers.
Your use must also follow Anthropic's Usage Policy, since CopyPaist runs on Anthropic's Claude. Fiction, satire, criticism, persuasive writing and strong opinions are welcome.
9. The service
We work to keep CopyPaist available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We may change features, pause AI writing, or stop offering CopyPaist. If we plan to shut it down, we'll give account holders reasonable notice to copy or download their projects.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using CopyPaist and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account ends any pass on it; ask for a refund first if you're within the 14 days. We may suspend or close accounts, or block access, that break these terms or put others or the service at risk; if we close an account with a pass for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused part.
11. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SaaSsee LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of CopyPaist or from content it produces. Our total liability for any claim about CopyPaist is limited to $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
12. Your responsibility to us
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you created with CopyPaist or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Vermont, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Before filing anything, please email us so we can try to sort it out.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll say so on the site before they take effect. Using CopyPaist after a change means you accept the updated terms.
